Professional Activities:
Dr. Guthrie has traveled and worked extensively in Africa and Latin America. In addition to publishing articles on Africa, he regularly organizes student service projects to Africa and Latin America. More recently his research has focused upon the Hispanic community in central Indiana. He initiated the Hispanic Oral History Archives and has published works on the Indianapolis Hispanic community. His interest in the city extends to issues of social justice, and he has published articles on the city’s homeless population.
